Summary

Official Details
Kazushi is a thirty-year-old man trapped in an exhausting cycle of insomnia and post-traumatic stress disorder. Haunted by relentless nightmares that neither medication nor therapy can suppress, he has developed a profound fear of sleep. His condition finally catches up with him at the office when he collapses from sheer exhaustion, inadvertently revealing his suffering to his coworker, Wabuka. Rather than recoiling, the gentle-natured Wabuka takes Kazushi’s hand and begins to sing in a deep, resonant voice. The soothing melody works where medicine failed, guiding Kazushi into a peaceful, nightmare-free slumber for the first time in ages. Recognizing the relief this brings, Wabuka proposes an unconventional arrangement the following morning: they should move in together so he can continue helping Kazushi rest each night. The two men soon settle into a highly unusual domestic life, sharing a bed face-to-face like lovers simply to ensure Kazushi can close his eyes without terror. While such intimate cohabitation between adult male colleagues is undeniably strange, the nightly closeness gradually shifts something within Wabuka. As their peculiar routine continues, he finds himself viewing Kazushi as someone increasingly precious to him.
