ZENSHU

Fresh out of high school, Natsuko Hirose embarks on a career in animation, where her exceptional talent quickly propels her to the director's chair. Her debut anime becomes an unprecedented success, evolving into a widespread cultural phenomenon and cementing her reputation as a visionary young filmmaker. With the industry eagerly watching her every move, expectations for her sophomore project are extraordinarily high. Her next ambitious undertaking is a romantic comedy film centered around the theme of first love. However, this seemingly straightforward premise presents a deeply personal challenge for the acclaimed director. Having never experienced romance herself, Natsuko finds the emotional core of the story entirely elusive. Unable to grasp the nuances of falling in love, she struggles to translate the concept onto paper, leaving her incapable of completing the necessary storyboards. As the creative process grinds to a halt, the entire film production stalls alongside it. The celebrated prodigy now faces a profound professional and personal dilemma: she must somehow bridge the gap between her vast artistic ambition and her complete lack of real-world romantic experience before her highly anticipated project collapses entirely.
