Hakka Shoujo

Fumi Koito was raised by a devoted elderly housekeeper named Hatoko Natsuyaki, whom he affectionately nicknamed his "Peppermint Nanny." As a child who despised the taste of peppermint candy drops but adored their scent, Fumi would leave the sweets for Hatoko to eat. She would then gently breathe the refreshing aroma into his nose, forging a tender bond between them. Now in his mid-twenties, Fumi lives independently and works as a cram school teacher, having long since left those childhood days behind. His quiet adult life is suddenly upended when a girl no older than nine appears at his doorstep. This unexpected visitor is none other than Hatoko herself. Deeply missing her role of cooking for him and tending to his every need, the nearly eighty-year-old woman consumed a mysterious medicinal potion hoping to restore her fading strength. However, she accidentally drank far too much, transforming her aged body into that of a young child. With Hatoko now physically younger than the man she once raised, the two must navigate an unconventional living arrangement. Their heartwarming new life together constantly blurs the lines of responsibility, leaving it delightfully unclear whether Fumi or Hatoko is truly the one taking care of the other.
