Hole up Gamers

In the near future, Japan has been captivated by Visions, a revolutionary full-dive virtual reality game. However, the excitement surrounding this immersive experience turns to tragedy when a critical flaw in the system causes fatal accidents among players who remain logged in for extended periods. In response to the escalating danger, authorities attempt to execute a forced logout protocol to shut down the game entirely. Instead of complying, a defiant group of players rebels against the intervention, barricading themselves deep within the digital confines of the virtual world and refusing to return to reality. To resolve this unprecedented standoff, Shin Hato is tasked with an extraordinary mission. As an operative from the Regional Welfare Department’s Hikikomori Support Office, he specializes in reaching individuals who have withdrawn from society. Now, he must apply his expertise in an entirely new frontier. Shin dives directly into the perilous landscape of Visions to make contact with the entrenched players and persuade them to abandon their digital sanctuary. What begins as a rescue operation quickly evolves into a complex challenge, as Shin navigates the blurred boundaries between the virtual realm and the real world to bring the holdouts back home.
