Akuyuu no Ore ga Ponkotsukishi wo Miterarenainda ga, Dousewa wo Yakyaii?: Madome Gaiden

When the princess outlines a future filled with titles like master swordsman, sage, and dragon knight, Remille can scarcely believe what he is hearing. Yet behind the scenes of this grand destiny, a different kind of arrangement unfolds. The Archdemon Zagan enlists his disreputable companion—the sorcerer known as Purgatory Barbatos—to secretly protect Archangel Chastille Lillqvist from the shadows. Barbatos accepts the task, though guarding the young woman quickly proves to be less about fending off threats and more about enduring her relentless clumsiness. His true mission becomes watching Chastille repeatedly stumble into disaster, place her trust in the wrong people, and inevitably break down in tears over her own mistakes. For a cynical and ill-tempered sorcerer, babysitting such a hopelessly inept charge seems like pure torment. However, an unexpected shift begins to take hold. Despite his sour disposition, Barbatos finds himself drawn into the rhythm of her chaotic life. There is something undeniably compelling about Chastille and her frequent tearful outbursts, an effect that slowly begins to soften even the most hardened edges of the disgruntled mage tasked with keeping her safe.
