In the late 1990s, a pharmaceutical corporation commissions a specialized team of biologists to undertake an expedition to a remote island in the South Pacific. Their primary objective is to survey the uncharted territory and identify new genetic resources that could hold significant scientific or commercial value. Venturing deep into the isolated wilderness, the researchers carry their equipment on their backs, fully prepared for a demanding journey through an untouched natural environment far removed from civilization. However, what begins as a routine scientific endeavor quickly descends into a nightmare. As the team pushes further into the island's interior, they stumble upon the horrifying aftermath of a brutal massacre. The scene reveals a devastating slaughter, yet there are no clear signs pointing to any human involvement. Instead, the evidence suggests the presence of a terrifying, unknown entity lurking within the shadows of the landscape. Cut off from the outside world and suddenly thrust into a desperate fight for survival, the biologists must confront the chilling reality that they are being hunted by something entirely beyond their understanding.
