Gaitou Alice

Arisugawa Hikaru appears to be an ordinary first-year high school student, but he harbors a secret identity that awakens only when the waking world fades. He is a Gaitou, a mysterious thief who manifests exclusively within the realm of dreams. Rather than stealing material possessions, his purpose is far more profound: he extracts the darkness that festers inside people's hearts. This inner corruption draws the attention of malevolent entities known as Gai rabbits, lower-class demons that actively seek out and feed upon human despair. To prevent these creatures from consuming the fragile emotions of the innocent, Hikaru hunts them down across the dreamscape. He does not face this perilous duty alone; alongside his trusted companion, Ban, he works tirelessly to shield vulnerable individuals from succumbing to their deepest sorrows. Together, they navigate a surreal battlefield where the stakes are nothing less than the human soul itself. Yet despite the dangers they have already confronted and the lives they have protected, their current struggles are merely a prelude. The true game has yet to begin, promising even greater challenges for the young dream thief and his partner.
