Wakako Zake

Twenty-six-year-old Murasaki Wakako has a simple yet deeply cherished ritual: venturing out on her own to savor the finest food and drinks the city has to offer. Whenever the daily pressures of her job become overwhelming or an unpleasant incident disrupts her peace of mind, she knows exactly how to restore her balance. Rather than dwelling on workplace frustrations, Wakako steps away from the noise and embarks on a solitary culinary journey designed to soothe her spirit and delight her senses. This manga chronicles her many independent excursions into the world of dining and drinking, transforming each outing into a quiet celebration of flavor. With no companions to compromise her choices, Wakako is entirely free to explore a wide variety of establishments at her own pace. She dedicates herself to discovering the perfect harmony between different dishes and beverages, carefully curating pairings that elevate every bite and sip into a moment of pure bliss. Through her thoughtful and unhurried approach to eating and drinking alone, Wakako demonstrates that solitude can be a profound source of comfort. Each chapter invites readers to accompany her as she navigates diverse menus, turning ordinary evenings into extraordinary personal retreats where exceptional food and drink wash away the stresses of the day.
