Allen to Dolan

A year ago, Linda left her quiet rural hometown to pursue a university degree in Tokyo. Since arriving in the bustling city, she has fully embraced her new life, finding particular joy within Tokyo’s vibrant indie movie subculture. For months, she has happily immersed herself in this passionate community, spending her free time exploring independent films and connecting with fellow enthusiasts who share her artistic interests. However, her comfortable routine is abruptly disrupted during an ordinary visit to a local movie theater. There, she finds herself cornered by an older man—a pretentious film snob known for preying on young women within the indie cinema scene. Just as the uncomfortable encounter escalates, another man steps forward to intervene and shield her from his unwanted advances. To Linda’s surprise, her unexpected rescuer turns out to be Edgar, the very neighbor who lives next door to her. This chance meeting at the theater transforms their casual proximity into something far more significant, drawing Linda into a new dynamic that bridges her everyday life with the underground world she loves.
