Shizuma has always harbored a deep admiration for magical girls, a passion that ultimately drives her to enroll in a specialized academy dedicated to their training. Eager to begin her journey and follow in the footsteps of her heroes, she arrives with high hopes. However, because her transfer occurs midway through the academic term, the school's standard student dormitories are already at full capacity. With no available rooms left in the main housing facilities, the administration is forced to assign her to an alternate residence on the campus grounds. This unexpected relocation leads Shizuma to a separate, overlooked dormitory far removed from the bustling energy of the academy. Instead of finding fellow aspiring students, she discovers that her new living quarters are occupied by three former magical girls who have long since retired from active duty. Rather than basking in the glory of their past achievements, these veterans lead deeply despondent lives, burdened by a lingering sense of depression and disillusionment.
