Hitorijime My Hero

Masahiro Setagawa has long abandoned the idea that heroes exist. Drifting through life without any meaningful prospects, he finds himself caught in the orbit of a petty street gang, surrounded by small-time bullies who offer him nothing but a bleak and stagnant future. For Masahiro, survival means keeping his head down and accepting that no one is coming to save him. His cynical outlook begins to fracture when Kousuke Ohshiba enters his life. By day, Kousuke is an ordinary high school teacher, but beneath that respectable exterior lies a formidable reputation as a feared scourge of the local streets. When Kousuke steps in to rescue Masahiro from his desperate circumstances, the young man experiences genuine protection for the first time. This unexpected intervention does more than simply pull Masahiro out of danger; it fundamentally shifts his perspective on the world. As Kousuke continues to look out for him, Masahiro slowly realizes that heroes might not be just a childish fantasy after all. Alongside this newfound belief comes something even more overwhelming—an undeniable, blossoming affection for the man who changed everything, forcing Masahiro to confront feelings he never expected to have.
