Kanna has always prided herself on maintaining the highest academic standing in her class. However, her sense of superiority is abruptly shattered during the first aptitude test of her high school career when she is outscored by a single point. The student who edges past her is Yuu, a naturally gifted girl whose demeanor blends cool detachment with quiet shyness. Unlike Kanna, Yuu possesses effortless talent and harbors no attachment to academic achievements. Immediately upon receiving her graded exam, she casually discards it without a second thought. This dismissive act deeply unsettles Kanna, who views the test as a hard-earned symbol of dedication and effort. Unable to contain her frustration, Kanna publicly scolds Yuu in front of their entire class for throwing away something so meaningful. To Kanna, the reprimand is merely an expression of her own pride, but Yuu interprets the unexpected attention as a genuine gesture of kindness. As a result, Yuu quietly develops romantic feelings for her outspoken classmate. Completely oblivious to this growing affection, Kanna remains entirely consumed by her own ego and competitive nature, unaware that her outburst has inadvertently captured someone’s heart.
