Summary

In the near future, electronic technology has developed rapidly, and computers have become an essential part of everyday life. The protagonist is a nineteen-year-old boy named Hideki Motosu, who, after failing his exams, moves to Tokyo to attend a cram school and live in poverty. On his first day in the city, he is lucky enough to find a humanoid computer discarded in the trash. Hideki has long wanted his own personal computer, and after carrying the unit back to his apartment, he struggles to figure out how to turn it on. When he finally discovers the switch in an unexpected place and powers it up, the story begins.
