Okubyouna Hakushaku Reijou wa Momegoto wo Nozomanai

Amelia has always been content living quietly in the shadow of Marquise Sophie, her beloved idol. As an inconspicuous member of Sophie's entourage, she asks for nothing more than to admire the noblewoman from afar. However, her peaceful days shatter when she accidentally witnesses Sophie's fiancé, the crown prince, sharing a clandestine meeting with Baroness Rosetta. Devastated by the betrayal, Sophie begins contemplating drastic measures, wondering aloud if harassing Rosetta and driving her away might force the prince to finally look at her again. Amelia immediately recognizes the terrifying danger in this line of thinking: such actions would inevitably brand Sophie as a villainess and steer her straight toward a tragic downfall. Determined to protect her precious lady from this ruinous fate, Amelia resolves to step out of her comfort zone and guide Sophie through the complicated ways of love. Yet, her desperate efforts to rewrite destiny come with unexpected complications. By involving herself so deeply in the affairs of the marquise, Amelia inadvertently draws the sharp attention of Rufus, Sophie's notoriously tsundere older brother. Now, the timid countess must navigate royal romance, looming disaster, and an increasingly interested young lord—all while wishing she could simply avoid the trouble entirely.
