Simple Days

Takamura Rei is tasked with an unusual assignment: clearing out the remaining valuables from a client’s supposedly haunted house. To assist with the job, he is paired with Kuramoto, a first-time handyman who brings prior search and rescue experience and a deeply troubled past to the team. Though Kuramoto is notably unsociable, Rei accepts his company for the demanding work ahead, expecting the quiet man to simply follow orders as they navigate the eerie property together. However, once inside the unsettling residence, Rei quickly discovers that his own nerves are far more fragile than he anticipated. The oppressive atmosphere of the haunted house leaves him genuinely terrified, forcing him to confront his unexpected fear while trying to maintain a professional demeanor. In this vulnerable state, he finds himself unexpectedly grateful for Kuramoto's steady presence, realizing that the reserved handyman's calm disposition provides a much-needed anchor against the creeping dread. Bound by the strange circumstances of their work and the lingering shadows of the house, the two men must rely on each other to complete the job. As they sift through the remnants of the client's belongings, the tension between Rei's hidden panic and Kuramoto's guarded nature sets the stage for an evolving dynamic, leaving their shared story open to unforeseen developments.
