Tamako Love Story

This light novel presents two original stories that explore the inner emotions of Tamako and Midori, alongside a separate tale following Choi. Certain narrative elements featured in this book will not appear in the film adaptation. The first story is set during the girls' third year of high school. While their classmates are busy contemplating future careers, Tamako remains entirely consumed by thoughts of mochi. Meanwhile, Mochizou has made the firm decision to attend university in Tokyo. Midori quietly observes the shifting dynamic between them, yet she harbors personal anxieties of her own. The second story follows Choi as she continues her urgent mission to find a suitable bride for the prince of the southern island. She enlists the help of Dera, who has grown remarkably round, and the pair attempt to use fortune-telling to locate the prince's future partner. Their efforts repeatedly end in failure. However, during a visit to the national library to research new divination methods, the two stumble upon a mysterious document that could change everything.
