The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess

After three years of self-imposed isolation, the vampire Terakomari Gandesblood—known simply as Komari—wakes to a startling reality: she has been appointed as a Commander in the Mulnite Imperial Army. Her sudden promotion would be a triumph if not for one glaring complication. The soldiers under her command are unruly, violent ruffians notorious for turning on their superiors at the first sign of weakness. For a recluse who has spent years avoiding the outside world, leading such a volatile unit is nothing short of a nightmare. To make matters worse, Komari is far from the imposing figure expected of her noble lineage. Although she descends from an ancient and powerful bloodline of vampires, her steadfast refusal to consume blood has left her physically frail, hopelessly clumsy, and entirely inept at magic. She possesses none of the terrifying strength associated with her family name, leaving her utterly defenseless against the mutinous troops waiting to exploit any vulnerability. With survival seeming impossible, Komari must rely on her only ally: Vill, her devoted maid whose loyalty borders on romantic infatuation. Together, they face the daunting task of navigating military politics and hostile subordinates. Whether this sheltered shut-in can stumble her way into genuine success or ultimately regret ever stepping beyond the safety of her bedroom remains to be seen.
