H2O: Footprints in the Sand

H2O: Footprints in the Sand follows the life of Takuma Hirose, a young junior high school student who has lost his sight under unexplained circumstances. Already burdened by his disability, Takuma suffers an even greater blow when his mother passes away unexpectedly. Her sudden death leaves him with profound emotional scars, driving him into deep isolation and forcing him to withdraw from the world around him. Seeking a fresh start away from painful memories, Takuma and his father leave the city behind and relocate to a quiet rural town, where he is enrolled in a new junior high school. This unfamiliar countryside setting becomes the backdrop for Takuma’s gradual journey toward healing. At his new school, he crosses paths with several girls, but three in particular leave a lasting impression on his guarded heart. He grows closest to Hayami Kohinata, a resolute and stubborn young woman; Hinata Kagura, a gentle and accommodating presence; and Otoha, a cheerful girl shrouded in mystery. Through his evolving relationships with these three distinct individuals, Takuma begins to navigate the heavy grief and loneliness that have defined his life since his mother's passing.
