What Happens When You Mess With the Original Novel

When Seraphie awakens in the body of a tragic side character doomed to die within the pages of a novel, she refuses to surrender to despair. Rather than mourning her cruel circumstances, she immediately devises a plan to rewrite the story and escape the grim fate awaiting her at the hands of her abusive father. Survival becomes her singular obsession, driving her to take drastic measures that threaten to unravel the very fabric of the narrative she now inhabits. Determined to shield herself from any form of suffering, Seraphie proves willing to disrupt the lives of the main characters if it means securing her own future. She navigates the treacherous dynamics of the original plot with relentless resolve, treating every established event as an obstacle to be dismantled. Yet tampering with a predetermined story carries unforeseen consequences, forcing her to confront the fragility of the world around her. As her interference ripples outward, a haunting question emerges: is altering a novel’s course truly as simple as changing a few decisions, or are certain tragedies woven so deeply into the narrative that they are destined to unfold regardless? Caught between her desperate will to live and the unyielding pull of the original plot, Seraphie must discover whether she can forge a new ending before the story claims her life.
