Logging in as a Monster

For ten years, Lee Jinhyuk has dominated the virtual reality game "The Abyss" under the alias Cornsilk, reigning as the undisputed number one PVP player without a single defeat. However, the highly anticipated sequel, "Abyss World," introduces a sweeping reset that reduces every veteran to a beginner. Amid this fresh start, Jinhyuk receives an unexpected and tempting proposition from Jinho, his half-brother and a developer at Abyss Studios. Instead of grinding through the ranks like everyone else, he is offered the chance to log into the new world as the Black Knight, a notoriously powerful boss monster. Embracing this unconventional role, Jinhyuk makes a devastating impact during the game's opening event by slaughtering one hundred top rankers with ease. Thrilled by the outcome, he agrees to continue operating behind the scenes as a monster, turning the arrangement into an ongoing scheme. Yet, maintaining this secret identity proves far more complicated than anticipated. As he continues to dominate the battlefield, Jinhyuk faces a mounting dilemma: his unparalleled skill and unmistakable combat instincts may ultimately expose the truth behind the Black Knight, threatening to unravel the entire deception.
