Mr. Policeman and the Missing Kids

In the idyllic world of Ponpo Land, humans and animals live side by side in perfect harmony. Daifuku, a newly recruited police officer, joins the force fueled by ambitious dreams of battling dangerous criminals and bringing justice to the streets. However, his expectations are quickly tempered when he is assigned to the Lost Children's Division, a department dedicated to handling missing youngsters in what appears to be an overwhelmingly peaceful jurisdiction. For a young officer eager for action, the quiet routine of reuniting lost children with their families feels like a far cry from the thrilling law enforcement career he envisioned. Everything shifts during a seemingly ordinary day at the station when a young kitten is brought in under the assumption that she has wandered away from her family. As Daifuku investigates, he uncovers a surprising truth: the kitten was not lost at all, but had deliberately run away from home. The situation takes another unexpected turn when her feline father arrives at the station to retrieve her. Rather than simply closing the case, Daifuku finds himself captivated by this unfamiliar cat who has just entered his life, sparking a curiosity that promises to change his uneventful days on the force forever.
