The Artist Salieri

Life is rarely predictable, and few understand this better than Myeong-hwa. Once blessed with striking beauty, exceptional artistic talent, and a loving boyfriend, she seemed destined for a brilliant future. Her peer Sun-hee, by contrast, appeared to have nothing of note. Yet the passage of time has a way of upending expectations, and over the span of a decade, their fortunes have completely reversed. Today, Myeong-hwa struggles as an impoverished and unrecognized artist, unable to gain any foothold in the industry. Meanwhile, Sun-hee has ascended to become a highly influential figure within the art world, commanding respect and admiration from all who know her name. The stark difference in their trajectories seems like a cruel twist of fate, leaving Myeong-hwa bewildered by her own unrelenting misfortune. However, there is a dark truth hidden beneath Myeong-hwa’s string of failures. What she does not realize is that her lack of success is far from coincidental. Behind the scenes, Sun-hee has been secretly manipulating events and pulling strings to ensure that Myeong-hwa never rises above obscurity, turning what should have been a promising career into a carefully orchestrated tragedy.
