Twinstar Cyclone Runaway

Six millennia after humanity expanded across the stars, civilization thrives aboard a colossal city ship orbiting a distant gas giant. This isolated society sustains itself through space fishing, harvesting valuable aquatic creatures known as Besshu. To pilot the specialized vessels required for this dangerous work, operators and pilots are forcibly paired together in male-female combinations. Within this rigidly patriarchal culture, these mandated partnerships are recognized as marriages, binding the crew to strict social conventions. Terra is a young woman determined to take part in this vital industry, but she faces a significant obstacle: she needs a partner to operate a ship. Her search leads her to Diode, a mysterious runaway girl who arrives with secrets of her own. Defying every established rule of their world, Terra and Diode discover they possess a unique ability to operate the vessel together despite both being female. As they forge an unprecedented partnership, the two must navigate the expectations of a deeply traditional society while carving out their own path among the stars.
