When Two Villains Meet

Atalante commands a feared organization operating deep within the shadows of the empire. Despite her formidable reputation, she has cultivated a quiet, unassuming existence alongside her loyal members. That fragile peace shatters when the emperor himself delivers a direct commission: assassinate Archduke Lionel Vianc, a man known throughout the realm as a ruthless tyrant. Bound by duty and unable to refuse the crown, Atalante reluctantly abandons her simple life and sets out to execute the order. However, the mission unravels in an entirely unforeseen manner. A critical mix-up between a lethal poison and a potent love potion derails the assassination, leaving the archduke very much alive. Instead of a corpse, Atalante is left with a far more exasperating complication. The supposedly merciless archduke not only survives the attempt on his life but becomes hopelessly infatuated with his would-be killer. Now trapped in a deeply frustrating predicament, the shadow boss must navigate a dangerous new reality where her target refuses to die and insists on falling in love with her instead.
