Seiju no Kuni no Kinjutsukai

After failing to secure employment, shut-in Sagara Kurohiko ventured into the mountains during a violent typhoon, where he was struck by lightning and killed. However, death was not the end. He awakened in an unfamiliar land dominated by a colossal holy tree, discovering that his body had inexplicably reverted to its teenage state. Taken to an academy situated near the great tree, Kurohiko quickly fell under suspicion as a foreign spy and was dragged before the headmaster for interrogation. During the journey, an unforeseen accident enraged the headmaster, who immediately prepared to obliterate Kurohiko with magic. In those desperate moments, Kurohiko’s eyes fell upon an ancient parchment. Instinctively, he seized it and read its contents aloud. Instantly, four voids tore open in the air, unleashing black chains from each that swiftly bound the headmaster. Kurohiko had unwittingly recited the incantation for a Forbidden Art—a legendary magic of devastating power. The scroll had remained entirely indecipherable to everyone else, making Kurohiko the world’s sole living Forbidden Spellcaster. Astonished by this unprecedented revelation, the headmaster abandoned his hostility and instead offered Kurohiko enrollment at the academy.
