Spirits In Chinese Brushes

Two thousand years ago, when the Epang Palace was reduced to ashes, the ancestors of the School of Naturalists mourned Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s persecution of Confucian scholars and the burning of their texts. Believing that failing to educate the world would squander its greatest minds, they gathered the souls of the fallen literati and sealed them within Chinese brushes, ensuring their extraordinary talents would endure for future generations. In the modern era, an ordinary college student named Luo Zhongxia unexpectedly inherits one of these ancient artifacts: Li Bai’s Qinglian brush. From that moment on, he gains access to formidable supernatural abilities channeled through the spirit dwelling within it. However, his newfound power quickly attracts dangerous attention. Rival factions drawn by the immense influence of Qinglian's legacy relentlessly pursue him, plunging his life into constant peril. Desperate to escape the escalating violence, Luo Zhongxia attempts to find a way to return the artifact and sever his connection to its power. Yet every effort is met with insurmountable obstacles. Instead of finding peace, his journey leads him to forge an unbreakable alliance with the mysterious Seven Lords in charge of the city, binding his fate to theirs as the conflicts surrounding the ancient brushes continue to unfold.
