The Kingdoms of Ruin

For generations, witches served as benevolent guardians of humanity, gifting the world with wisdom and an era of enduring peace. However, the rise of the Redia Empire and its revolutionary "Gear Expansion" fundamentally altered the balance of power. As a culture rooted in scientific advancement rapidly eclipsed the old ways of magic, witches were no longer revered. Instead, they were branded as dangerous obstacles to civilization's progress, sparking a brutal and systematic campaign to eradicate them entirely. Caught in the devastating crossfire of this witch hunt is Adonis, a human who was lovingly raised by a witch named Chloe. When the empire's ruthless purge claims the life of his cherished mentor, Adonis is shattered by grief. Consumed by absolute despair, he turns his anguish into fury, swearing a relentless vendetta against the very human race that destroyed the only family he ever knew. Driven by an unyielding thirst for vengeance, Adonis embarks on a violent crusade, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Yet, as he plunges deeper into this merciless bloodbath, a haunting question lingers over his path of retribution: can any true salvation or redemption possibly be found at the end of such overwhelming darkness?
