Techno is a brilliant young man who has spent most of his life isolated in a bomb shelter alongside his equally genius grandfather. His secluded existence changes the day he spots a girl named Hitomi wandering through his yard, and he instantly falls in love with her. Despite her repeated protests, he insists on calling her Daisy. After spending three months practicing his romantic approach on a robot, Techno finally attempts to initiate a relationship with her, though all he can manage at first is staring. Driven by his eccentric mindset, he soon decides he must gain full ownership of her, even as she continually resists belonging to him. Their chaotic romance is marked by Techno’s dangerous inventions, which nearly kill Hitomi on multiple occasions. His misguided efforts include transforming her into a fifty-foot giant, engineering a substitute teacher capable of firing laser beams, creating a massive slug, and outright kidnapping her. The absurdity extends far beyond their dynamic, introducing an eccentric cast that includes a costume-wearing teacher, a harmless boy rebel whom Techno, his mother, and his brother want dead, and Techno’s fiercely overprotective grandfather. As Hitomi’s friends and the rest of the class become entangled in the madness, a rogue android emerges with a singular mission: to protect Hitomi by eliminating Techno. Adding to the surreal chaos are two missiles that Techno has inexplicably befriended.
