Drowning in Your Ocean

What was supposed to be a simple fishing trip with her father turns into an extraordinary ordeal for Jiwoo when their net hauls in something far more unexpected than fish. Tangled in the mesh is a wounded mermaid, prompting the pair to bring the mysterious creature home and nurse her back to health in the only place available—their bathtub. As the days pass and the mermaid recovers, Jiwoo finds herself constantly on the receiving end of the aquatic visitor’s relentless, playful flirtations. Complicating matters further, Jiwoo learns of a chilling rumor: any human who betrays a mermaid’s affection is doomed to suffer an eternal curse. Terrified by the implications, she becomes desperate to distance herself from her guest, hoping to return the charming but overwhelming creature to the sea as quickly as possible. Yet, despite her constant insistence that she wants nothing to do with the mermaid’s advances, Jiwoo’s resolve begins to waver. Instead of pushing the enchanting stranger away, she finds herself inexplicably drawn closer, slowly sinking into the depths of a beautiful and perilous ocean she never intended to explore.
