Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Eiri was once a promising child actor, but his career has since stalled, leaving him as a struggling idol on the brink of dismissal from his talent agency. His fortunes shift when Shoui, a brilliant yet notoriously aloof photographer known for his exacting standards, selects Eiri to be his latest muse. To Shoui, a model is nothing more and nothing less than an artistic inspiration, and he treats Eiri with that same detached reverence. Though Eiri understands that physical intimacy is readily available if he desires it, he knows such closeness will never breach the emotional fortress surrounding the enigmatic genius. Determined to protect himself from heartbreak, Eiri buries his growing affection and maintains a careful distance for over ten years. He endures the quiet ache of unspoken love, convinced that guarding his heart is safer than risking rejection. However, his fragile equilibrium shatters the day Shoui discovers a new muse. Suddenly confronted with the reality of being replaced, Eiri faces an agonizing dilemma. He must finally decide which fear he is willing to confront: the devastating possibility of having his feelings rejected, or the regret of losing his one true chance at love before ever finding the courage to try.
