Fushi Tantei Reidou Momiji

On a sweltering July day, the enigmatic and strikingly beautiful Momiji Reido transfers into Haruma Amami’s school. Her arrival coincides with a chilling tragedy: a classmate is found murdered inside a perfectly sealed locked room. Before Haruma—a quiet member of the nearly defunct Literature Club—can process the shock, Reido approaches him with an unusual proposition. She insists they investigate the crime together, prompting Haruma to note that she sounds exactly like a fictional detective from a classic mystery novel. Despite his reluctance, he finds himself drawn into her orbit as her partner in unraveling the truth behind the impossible murder. Their investigation takes a devastating turn when Reido herself becomes the next victim, killed under circumstances even more baffling than the first. She perishes within an absolute locked room, a flawless crime scene that defies all logic and seems utterly unsolvable by any conventional means. Yet death does not silence her. Returning from beyond the grave, Reido makes one final request of Haruma: "Please find the person who killed me—Detective." Now bound to an immortal detective who refuses to let her own murder remain a mystery, Haruma must step out of his ordinary life. Together, this unlikely pair—an undying girl and her reluctant companion—embarks on a gripping school mystery to conquer the ultimate impossible crime.
