"I shall wait for you at the edge of the Abyss..." These haunting words, spoken by a mysterious man in Sora Mukujima's dreams, prove to be far more than a mere figment of his imagination. That tranquility is violently shattered when a colossal tower suddenly materializes, monstrous creatures begin attacking without warning, and his soldier brother becomes completely unreachable. Thrust into a desperate struggle for survival, Sora finds himself cornered until the very man from his recurring dreams steps into reality before him. When Sora regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been transported to an entirely unfamiliar realm—the Abyss itself, exactly as the stranger had foretold.
