Princess in Adversity

Dong Chu, a princess from a modest southern kingdom, embarks on an arduous journey spanning thousands of miles into unfamiliar territory. Her sole purpose is to sever her arranged betrothal to Lin Zhenying, the formidable Great Lord of the Northern Territory. Known for his ruthless cruelty and overwhelming arrogance, he represents everything she wishes to escape. Yet, upon reaching her destination, the political landscape has already shifted dramatically beneath her feet. Rather than confronting the tyrant she expected, Dong Chu discovers that Lin Zhenying has been violently overthrown. Stripped of his authority, he now suffers under a curse that traps him in the body of a small child. The fearsome lord who once commanded absolute power is suddenly fragile and defenseless against those who orchestrated his downfall. Moved by compassion for his drastically diminished state, Dong Chu sets aside her original plan to break their engagement. Instead, she makes a solemn vow to stand by his side, pledging to help the cursed lord reclaim his stolen throne and restore his former strength in a realm where enemies are closing in.
