Damage Danshi

Aiba has quietly harbored romantic feelings for his childhood friend, Yoshi, for as long as he can remember. However, confessing those emotions is complicated by a highly unusual trait that Yoshi possesses. Whenever Yoshi sustains physical damage, he undergoes a bizarre transformation, temporarily becoming remarkably handsome. This strange phenomenon turns every minor injury into a fleeting moment of striking attractiveness, adding an unpredictable layer to their already complex dynamic and leaving Aiba to navigate his hidden affection alongside this peculiar reality. The delicate balance of their relationship is thrown into turmoil when an unexpected change occurs. After taking damage as he normally would, Yoshi’s newly enhanced appearance fails to revert to its original state. Instead of the temporary shift Aiba has grown accustomed to, Yoshi remains permanently good-looking. This unforeseen development forces Aiba to confront his suppressed emotions in an entirely new light, raising difficult questions about how this lasting transformation will impact the bond they share. As the lines between friendship and romance blur further, Aiba must determine what this permanent change truly means for the future of their connection.
