Crystal Sky of Yesterday

Set against the backdrop of late 1990s China, the story follows Tu Xiaoyi, a high school student who cares little for academic achievement or exam scores. Instead of focusing on his studies, he spends most of his free time immersed in video games alongside his close friend, affectionately known by the nickname "Peanut." For Tu Xiaoyi, life is simple and carefree, revolving entirely around leisure rather than classroom responsibilities or future ambitions. His unremarkable daily routine takes an unexpected turn when his teacher selects him to serve as a class representative. This new role forces him to work closely with Yao Zhetian, a remarkably charming girl appointed to share the responsibility. Thrust into unfamiliar territory, Tu Xiaoyi must navigate the challenges of this sudden partnership while balancing his laid-back lifestyle with his newly assigned duties. As they spend more time together managing their shared obligations, the reluctant gamer begins to experience emotions he has never encountered before. What starts as a straightforward school assignment gradually evolves into something far more profound. Through his connection with Yao Zhetian, Tu Xiaoyi embarks on a poignant journey of self-discovery, confronting the bittersweet realities of first love and the inevitable heartbreaks that accompany growing up.
