Akarui Mirai

Tasogare Mirai is a young girl who struggles deeply with social interaction, finding it nearly impossible to connect with the people around her. Her already difficult daily life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a foul-mouthed artificial intelligence that has traveled from the future. Rather than offering gentle guidance, this abrasive AI delivers a harsh ultimatum, bluntly warning Mirai that if she continues on her current path of isolation, she is destined to die completely alone. Threatened by this bleak prophecy, Mirai is forced to confront her most profound weakness: the inability to make friends. With the aggressive voice of the future constantly pushing her forward, she must navigate the daunting challenge of learning how to communicate and build meaningful relationships before her grim fate becomes reality. The story explores her desperate attempts to change her trajectory, turning everyday social encounters into high-stakes hurdles she must overcome. Set against the backdrop of a near-future world where advanced technology intersects with ordinary human struggles, the narrative follows Mirai's journey toward personal growth and connection. Brought to life by creators Kaiho Norimitsu and Kurageso, this coming-of-age manga blends science fiction elements with heartfelt character development, chronicling one socially awkward girl's fight to rewrite her destiny and find her place among others.
