In Universal Century 0096, Banagher Links lives as a student at an Anaheim Electronics industrial training facility located within an unfinished space colony. His ordinary life shatters when he rescues a mysterious girl named Audrey Burne from the Sleeves, a dangerous faction of Zeon remnants. The Sleeves are relentlessly pursuing Laplace's Box, a powerful artifact held by the Vist Foundation since the dawn of the Universal Century that possesses the potential to overthrow the Earth Federation government. Cardeas Vist, the family's patriarch, intends to surrender the key to this devastating secret directly to them. Desperate to prevent catastrophe, Audrey seeks to persuade Cardeas against releasing the key, fearing the catastrophic consequences it would unleash upon the world. However, their efforts are violently interrupted when the Earth Federation's elite Londo Bell task force launches a sudden assault on the Sleeves. Thrust into the heart of a chaotic interstellar conflict, Banagher finds himself inextricably drawn into a war that will determine the fate of humanity.
