Hell’s Paradise

As the Edo period draws to a close, Gabimaru—once celebrated as the most formidable shinobi of Iwagakure—languishes on death row. However, he is offered an extraordinary chance at redemption: a full pardon and freedom in exchange for retrieving the legendary Elixir of Life. This mythical substance is said to be hidden on a remote island rumored to be Sukhavati, the Buddhist pure land. Driven by a desperate desire to reunite with his beloved wife, Gabimaru accepts the perilous mission. He embarks on the journey alongside Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, the executioner assigned to oversee him. Upon reaching their destination, they quickly realize they are not alone. The island is already crawling with fellow death row convicts, each pursuing the same elusive prize. Beyond human rivals, the landscape harbors far more sinister threats, including bizarre, unidentifiable creatures, unsettling artificial statues, and enigmatic hermits who claim dominion over the territory. Trapped in this treacherous paradise, Gabimaru must navigate a gauntlet of deadly adversaries and supernatural horrors. To secure his freedom and return to the woman he loves, he will have to uncover the secrets of the Elixir of Life and survive an island where death lurks behind every breathtaking illusion.
