Lian Qi Shiwan Nian

One hundred thousand years ago, Xu Yang became the founding disciple of the Tianlan Sect. While his master ascended to the pinnacle of cultivation, Xu Yang remained trapped in the Qi Refining stage. As the millennia passed, everyone around him achieved transcendence. Ninety thousand years ago, his martial nephew ascended. Fifty thousand years ago, even the elderly gatekeeper of the sect departed for higher realms. Thirty thousand years ago, an ancient tree at the foot of the mountain transformed into a demon and successfully weathered its heavenly tribulation. Through it all, Xu Yang could do nothing but silently refine his Qi. Ten thousand years ago, Zhang Wuji, the 9,872nd generation disciple of the Tianlan Sect, also ascended, leaving Xu Yang entirely behind. Refusing to surrender, Xu Yang entered seclusion for ten thousand years, relentlessly pushing his limits until he finally shattered the boundaries of the 9,999th layer of the Qi Refining stage. Now, after an eternity of solitary cultivation, he emerges from his prolonged retreat, stepping back into a world that has long forgotten the name of its very first disciple.
