Vinland Saga Season 2

Following the murder of his father and the devastation of his home by English raiders, Einar longs for nothing more than a quiet existence with his family on their newly restored farm. Tragically, fate denies him this peace when Danish marauders invade once more, burning his land and slaughtering his loved ones before his eyes. Taken captive and transported to Denmark as a slave, Einar survives only by holding fast to his mother’s final words. In Denmark, he is purchased by Ketil, a relatively benevolent landowner who offers Einar the chance to earn his freedom through agricultural labor. Assigned to work the fields, Einar is paired with Thorfinn, a fellow slave consumed by melancholy and despair. Together, the two men toil toward liberation while confronting the heavy burdens of their pasts and the dangerous political machinations unfolding around them. Despite living in a harsh and unforgiving world defined by injustice, Einar and Thorfinn persevere. Bound by shared hardship, they cling to the fragile hope of redemption, striving to carve out a path toward lasting peace amid the relentless cruelty of their era.
