The Duchess Has a Deathwish

After choosing to end her own life, a young woman awakens to find herself reincarnated as Selena, the doomed villainess from a novel she once read. In the original story, Selena was written to be so irredeemably wicked that her narrative concluded with her dying alone and forgotten in a dark dungeon. Now trapped inside this tragic character’s body, the protagonist has no desire to continue living. Seeing an opportunity to escape, she resolves to simply die once more, hoping to spare Selena from her predetermined miserable fate. However, her straightforward plan for a second death quickly unravels when those around her refuse to let it happen. To her bewilderment, both Selena’s family and a devoted knight actively intervene to keep her alive. Caught between her persistent longing for death and the unexpected efforts of others to protect her, the reluctant villainess must navigate a world that suddenly seems determined to defy her only wish.
