Sugar Apple Fairy Tale

In a society where fairies are treated as commodities and auctioned off to the highest bidder, humanity maintains a deeply fractured relationship with the fae. Amid this harsh reality, Anne Halford dares to envision something different. Rather than treating her newly acquired fairy companion as property, she genuinely desires to build a bond of friendship with Challe, whom she has appointed as her personal bodyguard. Unfortunately, Challe harbors no such aspirations and remains entirely indifferent to the idea of camaraderie with his new master. Anne’s immediate objective requires Challe to escort her safely through an exceptionally perilous region. However, securing his cooperation proves far more complicated than anticipated. Challe is a reluctant protector who actively resents his captivity and eagerly awaits any opportunity to break free from a life of servitude. As they navigate treacherous terrain together, Anne quickly realizes that managing a resentful guardian determined to escape will force her to confront challenges far exceeding anything she originally imagined.
