Overhunter Hunter

A quiet town is plunged into chaos by a terrifying string of incidents in which humans are being hunted. The source of this panic is not an ordinary criminal, but a violent vampire preying upon the local population. As fear spreads and the community struggles to cope with the sudden threat, the situation appears increasingly hopeless against a predator driven by supernatural malice. In the midst of this escalating crisis, a young boy armed with a sword steps forward to confront the monster. Standing directly in the path of the ruthless vampire, he challenges the creature responsible for terrorizing the town. This tense encounter sets the stage for a desperate battle between a determined youth and a deadly foe, testing whether a single swordsman can put an end to the nightmare gripping the streets. Overhunter Hunter is a distinguished one-shot that earned recognition as a winning entry in the 70th Shonen Jump Newcomer Treasure Award. Beyond its standalone merits, the story holds significant historical value within manga publishing, serving as the original prototype that eventually evolved into the acclaimed series Kimetsu no Yaiba.
