Kenban no Ue no Caress

Isshiki Kyouya is widely recognized as a piano prodigy, yet when the time comes to choose an instructor, he deliberately selects Sasa Kenjirou. Once considered a musical genius himself, Sasa abandoned his ambitions after attending one of Isshiki’s concerts years earlier. Hearing the young musician perform left him convinced that his own artistic potential had reached its absolute limit, prompting him to quietly step away from the spotlight and accept a life behind the keys as a teacher rather than a performer. What Sasa never realized, however, was that his resignation was built on a profound misunderstanding. Long before that fateful concert, it was actually Sasa’s own music that had deeply captivated Isshiki, leaving a lasting impression on the younger prodigy that shaped his entire approach to the piano. The very melodies Sasa believed were inadequate had inspired the person he now regarded as untouchable. Bound together by their shared devotion to the instrument, the two men find that their connection transcends the traditional dynamic of student and teacher. Through every note played and every lesson shared, a quiet affection begins to resonate between them. Guided by the music that first brought them together, their relationship blossoms into something miraculous, proving that the emotions they pour into the piano can bridge even the widest gaps in understanding.
