Gatapishi

When Kosuke Ano transfers to a new high school, he approaches everything with boundless enthusiasm and an overwhelming volume. Loud and largely oblivious to his surroundings, he fails to realize that his new institution was established by the neighboring temple. His energetic arrival quickly draws the attention of Tomoyuki Zuisen, the son of a monk who was raised within those very temple grounds. Despite his religious upbringing, Zuisen struggles with severe mood swings, making him a complex and unpredictable guide for the clueless newcomer. Taking it upon himself to educate Ano, Zuisen introduces him to the fundamental disciplines of monastic life, including the seated meditation practice known as Zazen. However, Ano’s relentless energy proves difficult to contain; despite his eagerness to participate, he inevitably falls asleep during the quiet meditation sessions. This clash of temperaments sets the stage for a compelling dynamic between the two students. As they navigate their differences, the story questions whether Ano can demonstrate genuine depth beneath his noisy exterior, or if Zuisen will ultimately s쳮d in stifling his classmate's vibrant spirit.
