Reimei no Arcana: Hajimari no Toki

Based on the acclaimed manga Reimei no Arcana, this light novel serves as a prequel that transports readers back to an era before the main story unfolds. The narrative centers entirely on Nakaba during her formative years, long before she is swept into the political machinations and conflicts of neighboring kingdoms. At this stage in her life, she still resides within the borders of Senan, navigating the daily challenges and quiet complexities of her existence in her homeland. Living in Senan presents its own unique trials for the young princess. Rather than facing the grand diplomatic struggles of her future, Nakaba must contend with the immediate realities of her environment and her place within it. This period explores her personal growth and the early experiences that begin to shape her resilient character. Surrounded by familiar faces yet bound by the strict expectations placed upon her lineage, she learns to find her footing in a world that already views her through the lens of prejudice and duty. By delving into these foundational moments, the novel enriches the broader lore of the series. It offers a deeply intimate portrait of Nakaba's past, revealing how her time in Senan forged the strength and compassion she would eventually need to survive the turbulent events awaiting her beyond its borders.
