Akuma ni Dakareru

*Akuma ni Dakareru* presents a compelling collection of dramatic and intense encounters. In the first story, Junya desperately tries to protect his sister from being forced into prostitution to pay off a massive underground bank debt incurred for their mother's medical care. When Junya confronts the lenders, the leader agrees to let him work off the debt personally, but under entirely unexpected terms. The second narrative follows Ryoichi, a track and field athlete whose innocent visits to the school doctor evolve into a complex dynamic as Kubo-sensei develops a puzzling sadistic streak. When Ryoichi’s health begins to fail, the doctor intervenes, leaving Ryoichi to question his true intentions. The collection continues with Riki, an apprentice potter who has harbored long-standing feelings for his mentor, Kanou Takehiko. When frustration over a lost artistic inspiration causes Kanou to violently lash out after destroying a piece of pottery, Riki must navigate a turbulent emotional landscape to help reignite his mentor's passion. Finally, the collection concludes with Natsuki, a high school student whose routine is upended when a mysterious foreign visitor unexpectedly steals his first kiss at the front door. The stranger is revealed to be Edward, Natsuki’s fifteen-year-old stepbrother, who has arrived in Japan following the tragic death of their shared father and his mother in a car accident. With his own mother quickly agreeing to take the boy in, Natsuki suddenly finds himself sharing both a home and a new life with his sudden sibling.
