Summary

In the late Song Dynasty, the emperor is incompetent and the eunuchs hold power, while the Jin State rises rapidly and the Liao State occupies the Yan Yun region, leaving the Song Dynasty in a state of turmoil. The protagonist, Ling Feng, finds himself transported into the body of a death row inmate in a small town. With 150,000 Song troops defeated at the border, Ling Feng's only chance of survival is to join the daredevil squad and embark on a perilous mission to rescue a key individual from the Liao State. Upon his return, he becomes a "bandit soldier" in a prison city, starting from the bottom of the social hierarchy. Through his bravery and strength, he forges an elite iron cavalry, earning the respect of legendary figures such as Zong Ze, Yue Fei, Han Shizhong, and Wu Jie. With his trusty butcher knife in hand, Ling Feng conquers enemies, eliminates traitors, and upholds justice, rising to greatness with each step. Along the way, he encounters notable women, including Liang Hongyu, Li Shishi, Li Qingzhao, and Zhao Fugui, who embody the gentleness and elegance of the era. As Ling Feng navigates the treacherous landscape of war and politics, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of honor and glory.
