Hanabi no Hi, Jungle Gym no Ue de

Under the brilliant glow of a summer night sky, two childhood friends climb to the top of their favorite jungle gym to watch the fireworks bloom overhead. Surrounded by the crackling light and vibrant colors of the festival, they share a heartfelt promise to one day return to this very spot and meet again. It is a simple vow born of youthful innocence, yet it carries the quiet weight of a bond neither of them could ever truly forget as the seasons inevitably change. Years pass, and the familiar playground becomes a distant memory buried beneath the demands of growing up. The once inseparable pair drift apart, their lives taking entirely separate paths far removed from the carefree days of their youth. Yet the echo of that summer night lingers, tethering them to a shared history that time cannot easily erase. When the promise they made atop the jungle gym finally draws them back together, it sparks an unexpected reunion. Now standing in the same place but as changed individuals, the two former friends must navigate the bittersweet space between who they used to be and who they have become, discovering whether the connection forged under those long-ago fireworks can still endure.
