Kaiki Tantei Sharaku Homura

At Shimoyama Middle School, dwindling club memberships have forced an unusual arrangement. Both the Experiment Club and the Karate Club have been reduced to a single remaining member each, leaving them with no choice but to share one classroom. This unlikely pairing brings together Sharaku Homura, the sole representative of the Experiment Club, and Yousuke Yamazaki, affectionately known as the "Karate Kid," who stands alone as the last practitioner of his martial arts club. Despite their contrasting interests, these two students form an unexpected partnership when confronted with bizarre occurrences around them. Together, they tackle a variety of seemingly impossible mysteries that cross their path, combining their unique perspectives to unravel puzzles that defy conventional explanation. Their shared space becomes the starting point for investigations that challenge logic and reason. Originally created as a self-published doujinshi by Shou Nemoto, this compelling story has since evolved into a fully realized manga. Its engaging blend of school life and mystery has earned it critical recognition, including the prestigious Hokkaido Mystery Cross Match Award, cementing its reputation as a celebrated work in the genre.
